I am born and raised in the south of the Netherlands. When I was finished with my bachelor in Social Work I really wanted to go to East-Africa to work as a volunteer and travel there. Without a specific reason, on instinct, I choose Uganda what turned out to be a great decision. What a great country, with a mesmerizing nature and very welcoming beautiful people. Also with a dark past and most people are still struggling to survive and create a life for themselves.

It's a country of which the memories stay in your mind.

I am very grateful for the fact that I can work together with a divers group of people from all over the world who use their knowledge and expertise to accomplish our project goals which we have created together.

For the future I hope that the foundation will keeps doing great work, more and more people will read the stories within our book ‘Nnina Olugero, I have a story’, and we will all work together hand in hand to accomplish our mission.
