My name is Lode. In 2011-2012 I have lived and worked together with Anouk in Kampala, Uganda. I was impressed by Anouk's persistence in collecting life stories of the people she met. Not always an easy task in Uganda, or anywhere.

When Anouk returned to the Netherlands she gave me a call, telling me she was playing with the idea to start a foundation. I was of course very interested in joining this cause, having just returned from Central Africa myself and lost in thoughts of what to do to help some of the people I met during my stay.

The idea of letting people tell their stories I think is motivating not only for us to continue supporting projects in Kampala, but also inspiring for you to make your own contribution. This is where Nnina Olugero differs from other organisations that are active on the ground in Uganda.

I am happy to be able to contribute to the Nnina Olugero Foundation with my own expertise and experience.
